Contemplations over Burritos.

I know that its been ages since i've blogged and no one checks this anymore, but i heard a song on the radio the other night at work that got to me. The end of the chorus went something like "was that my life" and those words got me thinking. Is that what i'm going to be like that when i reach the end?  Will i be looking back at my life and wondering where it went? Why i occupied my time the way i did? I took a few more...liberties if you will, with my time in grade 12 then i had in my previous years of highschool, and although my grades didn't come out as amazingly as the previous 3 years, i had fun. I can't think of anything worse than looking back on your life, and feeling that it was a waste. I plan on striving to make sure that this will never happen to me. I don't want to be left wondering, but rather stating, "That was my life". I will have pride in what i have accomplished, who i've met, what i've decided to occupy my time with. I will be happy with the choices that i have made.

"In daylights, in sunsets, in midnights, in cups of coffe. In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife. 525,600 minutes - how would you measure, the year in a life?"

"Life isn't measured in the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away."

Song of the moment: The World You Love by Jimmy Eat World

'No regrets' has been my new years resolution for two years straight. When you live by that rule, you feel much, muuch better about the decisions and choices you've made because you use discretion so the results always make you happy.

I'm not discouraging spontaneity, not at all! I'm just saying do it in such a way that you know you won't regret it in your heart the next day.

Whatever you choose to do in life, I encourage you in it. You're very smart, Niki. When you follow what your heart asks for and your mind discerns is right, you'll live a life that you'll be happy with in the end. No regrets... to the end!
